Battlefield 1 now free to download from Origin and EA Access

Battlefield 1 Added to EA and Origin Access Vaults

Battlefield 1 launched last October and was one of the year's best-selling games. After announcing that Titanfall 2 would be hitting the service a couple of weeks ago, EA threw in another big 2016 title with Battlefield 1 on Thursday.

Battlefield 1's explosive multiplayer action focuses on team play and unique combat roles on land, in the sky, and at sea.

While the Premium Trial has come and gone already, Electronic Arts' announcement points to it returning later in August. It is called In the Name of the Tsar and introduces the Russian army, alongside new maps and weaponry.

Meanwhile, the multiplayer in Battlefield 1 is just as large as previous entries in the franchise with matches featuring up to 64 players. Currently, EA Access claims to bolster over 45 games whereas Origin Access has over 75 and counting. EA Access costs $4.99 a month or $30 for the year. Both services come with a selection of games to download, along with the ability to download trials ahead of a game's release.

A 10 percent discount on digital purchases of Electronic Arts titles and all DLC is also included as part of the service. After following through on its promise for Titanfall 2 last month, EA has now added Battlefield 1 to the Vault for EA and Origin Access. The Titanfall 2 campaign was particularly well received, though unfortunately the game didn't sell too well during the crowded holiday season.

Not to sound like an advertisement or anything, but Access on the Origin side of things is a pretty killer deal with the addition of DICE's latest release.
