The coach asked Kyle who his favorite player was and the fan pointed out Juenemann because he spent a lot of time at the hospital.

Minnesota kicker Justin Juenemann received the best news of his college football career from new Golden Gophers coach P.J. Fleck, in a manner perfectly fitting for the eccentric Fleck: shot from a T-shirt cannon.

A University of Minnesota kicker earned a scholarship Wednesday in the most elite way possible.

Kyle pointed the cannon and Juenemann, who grabbed the shirt out of mid-air while the team clapped.

Well done, Minnesota. Juenemann will be a redshirt senior in the fall. The t-shirt said, "Justin, congrats on earning a scholarship!"

"I've never seen anybody serve and give more than that guy", Fleck said of Juenemann. "He could easily not do it and nobody would ever say anything".

Fleck said he planned the surprise because the team has a close relationship with the children's hospital and he wanted to create a special memory.

Juenemann hasn't seen any game action in his four years with the program. "All of the emotions running through me at the time and the fact that Coach Fleck and Kyle went through that effort to create a special moment is unbelievable".
