A sole winning ticket worth an estimated $393 million ($247 million cash value) for the Friday, August 11, 2017, Mega Millions jackpot was sold at Nick's Barbecue in Palos Heights, Illinois. The winning numbers in Friday's drawing were 23, 33, 53, 56, 58, and Mega Ball 6.

A ticket sold in IL matched all six numbers, winning the grand prize amount.

If no one wins, the Mega Millions jackpot will get even bigger for Tuesday's drawing.

The prize, which was previously estimated to be the sixth-largest prize at $382 million, is now estimated to be $393 million, moving it up the ranks as the fifth-largest prize in the game's history. The Mega Ball number was six.

The odds of winning the Mega Millions is 258.9 million to one, a very slim amount.

Someone who purchased a Mega Millions lottery ticket in the Bay Area is about to cash in on $550,731.

A record $1.586 billion Powerball jackpot was shared in January 2016 by ticket holders in California, Florida and Tennessee.
