Woman Killed After Pakistan Violates Ceasefire Along LoC In Kashmir's Poonch District

One of the officers reportedly said, "At around 5 pm, Pakistani Army resorted to unprovoked mortar shelling and firing on forward posts along the LoC in Poonch district". "Pakistan is being given a befitting reply".

This has been the third incident of ceasefire violation by Pakistan during the last 24 hours, with earlier two been along the border at Uri and Gohlad Kalran in Mendhar.

An official said some mortar shells fired by Pakistani troops landed in the civilian areas in Balakote sector in Mendhar, Poonch.

Earlier in the day, a 40-year-old woman was killed in Gohlad Kalran village after the Pakistani army resorted to indiscriminate firing for almost one-and-a-half-hour.
