South Korean authorities justify their actions under the pretext of tackling the DPRK's nuclear weapon threats, but they can not cover up treason to the nation with their arguments, it said. "They should do more to find effective ways to resume dialogue and negotiation", Ambassador Cui Tiankai stated on Friday during an embassy event.

Warning against putting China-US trade on the table during a reception celebrating Chinese National Day, Cui was further quoted by state news agency Xinhua as saying, "Efforts to undermine Sino-US trade, or even slapping sanctions on China, I think would be off-target".

"We condemn in the strongest terms, the ballistic missile launch of 15 September 2017 conducted by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) in a reckless and provocative manner, disregarding regional and global security and stability", the statement said released by the Turkish Foreign Ministry on Friday.

"The launching drill was conducted with the aim at calming down the belligerence of the U.S. which has recently cried out for using military muscle against North Korea, and at bolstering up operation capability for attack and counterattack to counter it with swift and powerful military counteraction, examining the order to deal with nuclear warheads and confirming action procedure of actual war", said North Korea's official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA). Beijing has backed United Nations sanctions against the North. According to the state-run KCNA news agency, leader Kim Jong-un said: "Our goal is to make the rulers of the U.S. dare not talk about military option regarding us".

China fought alongside North Korea during the 1950-53 Korean War, in which Chinese leader Mao Zedong lost his eldest son, and Beijing has always been Pyongyang's chief ally and primary trade partner.

Kim said Friday that the South Korean financial markets seemed to remain calm despite North Korea's latest missile launch, but the government will take immediate action, if necessary.

Kim further vowed to complete the country's nuclear weapons program despite growing sanctions against Pyongyang. Sources have said Chinese companies shipping oil to the North will also probably be targeted by future USA sanctions.

The U.S. announced its latest round of harsh sanctions on the isolated nation this week, affecting oil, gas, and other exports to North Korea.

The North wants South Korea to stop its annual drills with the United States, which it views a rehearsal for war.
