Four arrests as Arsenal match delayed amid crowd disorder

Antonio Conte Chelsea Premier League sports news football Indian Express

Antonio Conte has challenged Chelsea to avenge last season's FA Cup final heartache when they face title rivals Arsenal on Sunday. Veteran boss Wenger did opt to include wantaway striker Alexis Sanchez in the starting lineup but his selections couldn't do anything to stop Jurgen Klop's deadly charges as they mercilessly tore apart the helpless Arsenal in a resounding 4-0 humbling.

Chelsea are likely to rotate their options after making changes for the Qarabag contest, with playmaker Eden Hazard in contention to start for the Blues for the first time this season.

But a sublime strike from Wayne Bridge in the UEFA Champions League second leg at Stamford Bridge sealed Chelsea's first win in 17 games.

The Italian also doesn't feel Chelsea have any advantage over Arsenal despite getting extra days to prepare this week as Wenger rested a number of players against 1.FC Koln in the Europa League on Thursday night.

"We've come [into this game] from beating Bournemouth with a very good team performance, especially defensively, which is what was lacking in the last two games".

Back Alvaro Morata to score anytime in a 2-0 win at 14/1.

Chelsea, on the other hand, have once again learned from their mistakes to put together a three-match winning run following a shock opening-day home defeat by Burnley.

The Gunners can make a statement with a victory over Chelsea this weekend, but will have to beat the odds.

"I'd like to say all our thoughts are for the people affected in the incident on the tube", Conte told a press conference at Chelsea's Cobham training ground yesterday. His bemoaning of foreign managers and inability to pronounce any surname that isn't Smith, Jones or his own has become a tiresome act over the last few years, yet the Arsenal legend may have just redeemed himself.

"If we want to be close to the top of the table after two defeats then we have to win the big games and this is the first opportunity for us to do so", said the 35-year-old to Sky Sports.

Arsenal are 7/2 for the away win, and the draw is 3/1.

Last month Rooney retired from worldwide football to concentrate on prolonging his club career and he has scored twice in four league appearances for the Toffees.

So happy he has refused to sign a new deal.
