However, Hansal Mehta's directorial Simran stole the thunder from Lucknow Central. As per Adarsh, Shubh Mangal Saavhdan earned Rs 1.26 crore on Saturday that takes its total tally to Rs 37.67 crore. After a disastrous opening with the collection of 2.04 crores, the movie saw a growth of 38% on its second day. Farhan Akhtar's film is expected to do good box office business in the upcoming days as the film is getting good word of mouth which will surely increase the box office collection of the film.

While Simran has fared well in the metro cities, Ranjit Tiwari directorial has done better in places like UP and Rajasthan. Th film narrates the tale of Kishan (Farhan), who gets wrongly accused as the murderer of an IAS officer. This tale of Kishan has struck a chord with viewers, who have been heaping praises on the film.




Ranjit Tiwari's multi-starrer "Lucknow Central", which features Farhan Akhtar in the lead, has doubled its collection at the domestic box-office on day 2.

With the first shows coming to an end, "Lucknow Central" is ahead in the race with an unanimous thumbs up from one and all. Friday 2.04 cr, Sat 2.82 cr. While talking exclusively to ANI, Farhan shared that the actual task in "Lucknow Central" was to prepare himself for the "Moradabad Boy" that he is in the film as the character was really important and so he focused much on that rather than anything else.
