The Insane Clown Posse Sues Feds Over Gang Label

In a moment that at first seemed it could spark a confrontation, a small group of Black Lives Matter protesters approached the stage, prompting one of the Trump supporters speaking on the stage to invite them up and hand them the microphone so they could provide their perspective.

The band and its fans are staging a concert and a rally demanding the Federal Bureau of Investigation rescind its classification of Juggalos as a "loosely organized hybrid gang". However, they added that the majority of Insane Clown Posse fans are not involved in criminal activity or organized crime.

While some voiced support for the group, citing their right to freedom of speech, others poked fun at the group's appearance in good humor.

Thousands of Juggalos are expected to travel from all over the country for Saturday's march, meeting outside the Lincoln Memorial from 1pm.

Saturday also saw a rightwing demonstration by supporters of President Donald Trump, dubbed the "Mother of All Rallies" as well as a left-wing protest by a group called "Protect American Democracy" against alleged Russian interference in last year's election. There is an annual festival called the Gathering of the Juggalos, sponsored by Psychopathic and featuring its artists as well as other musicians. In 2014, the group joined with the ACLU to sue the FBI, but their case was dismissed by a federal judge, then tossed out of court again a year ago - though the ACLU is planning another appeal.

Showing solidarity with my juggalo and juggalette family marching in the #JuggaloMarch today. That's why they organized a march on Washington, D.C.: to clear their Faygo-soaked good name. Because the events happened near one another, many waited with anticipation to see if the two groups might collide. "Most crimes committed by Juggalos are sporadic, disorganized, individualistic and often involve simple assault, personal drug use and possession, petty theft and vandalism".

The pro-Trump crowd, meanwhile, were assembled for a rally created to give the president a signal of their support as Trump struggles through the early months of his first term.

The case was dismissed both times by the same MI judge who said the Juggalos lacked "legal standing", The Guardian reports. They tend to feel that they've been misunderstood outsiders their whole lives, whether for being overweight, looking weird, being poor, or even for just liking ICP in the first place.

Bonometti worries that she'll never be able to work in her field again, because Juggalos have been branded as a threat.

As we announced several months ago, Insane Clown Posse spearheaded a Juggalo March on Washington to be held at noon September 13 at the National Mall.

March organizers also planned face painting activities and sold merchandise printed with the Insane Clown Posse logo of a man running and carrying a hatchet.

ICP's duo, Joseph (Violent J) Bruce and Joseph (Shaggy 2 Dope) Utsler, are set to speak briefly at 3:50 p.m. and then close out the day with a performance near the Lincoln Memorial beginning around 9 p.m.
