Developer Discovers iOS Flaw that Tricks Users to Give Away Apple ID Password
The first is with audio and haptic feedback on some iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus devices.
Apple has released the third update to iOS since it's release less than a month ago, and this one contains some very specific, and rather odd, bug fixes.
Apple has released iOS 11.0.3 bringing a fix for audio and haptic feedback issues and an issue where touch input stopped working on non-genuine displays. Just one week later, and we've got more bug fixes, which goes to show just how quickly Apple pushed iOS 11.0 out the door. He wrote in a blog post that Apple's reliance on asking users to regularly enter their passwords to undertake a range of functions presents a security hole that could easily be used by hackers to steal user credentials. "Non-genuine replacement displays may have compromised visual quality and may fail to work correctly". The update weighs in at 276.6MB and can be installed on your iOS device by going to Settings General Software Update. Apple is now beta-testing iOS 11.1, which will be released later this fall. Since then it has rolled out iOS 11.0.1, iOS 11.0.2, iOS 11.0.3 and the beta version of iOS 11.1.0.
"The new emoji are created to reveal every detail and adapted from approved characters in Unicode 10. iOS 11.1 will also include characters announced on World Emoji Day like Woman with Headscarf, Bearded Person, Breastfeeding, Zombie, Person in Lotus Position and new food items such as Sandwich and Coconut".
The main issue, from Apple's side, is that iOS makes it hard to tell the difference between notification sources.
The update is now available as a free, over-the-air update for all eligible iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices.
