Following their meet-and-greet with Julius Caesar (Simon Merrells) last night, the Legends will be going to the circus in "Freakshow", traveling back in time to 1870 to take care of another anachronism at P.T. Barnum's (Billy Zane) circus.
Deadline first reported that Garber would be leaving the CW series to star in the Broadway production of Hello Dolly! with Bernadette Peters; the news was later confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter and Entertainment Weekly. They will be appearing on the Broadway show starting on January 20.
It's hard to imagine the Legends of Tomorrow crew without its resident professor, but that's exactly what fans will have to get used to after season 3 is over.
The report states the Broadway show's schedule consists of six days per week, with seven to eight shows per week. Doing that while filming a primetime series is virtually impossible, especially when the show is produced 3,000 miles away as is the case with the Vancouver-based Legends Of Tomorrow.
"[He] will remain series regular on the current third season of Legends Of Tomorrow though there are no current plans for him to return for further episodes". In a show about time travel, anything is possible.
