Stringent orbital requirements necessitated that liftoff of the SpaceX Falcon 9 booster rocket had to take place within a one-second launch window.

The rocket is scheduled to blast off at 6:53 p.m. ET.

SpaceX will deliver a communications satellite created to broadcast television over the United States of America and parts of the Caribbean this evening.

The present launch is commonplace to SpaceX since the organization has essentially done it sometime recently.

Today's launch is for EchoStar and SES, a satellite with a dual goal for both of these clients.

Wednesday's flight will be brief. The satellite weighs approximately 5,200kg and will thus allow the reused Falcon 9 first stage to be recovered aboard the drone ship Of Course I Still Love You. SES has shown a lot of confidence in the company's ability to bring safe, reusable launch rockets to the market and has previously employed a previously-flow booster - back in the time when SpaceX's ability in this field remained largely untested.

SpaceX's live coverage of the mission will begin 15 minutes before blastoff.

"A successful landing of the first stage", a SpaceX commentator said on the company's live webcast, as applause erupted at SpaceX mission control in Hawthorne, California.

The space company hopes to fly more used rockets in the coming months as it works to further reduce the cost of space travel. This is also the second launch attempt this week, after SpaceX successfully launched a mission for client Iridium on Monday. On the off chance that effective, it'll be the third time that SpaceX has reused a Falcon 9 - and if the vehicle lands post-launch, it'll additionally be the third to do as such.
