Google is now in the midst of cooperating with operators and manufacturers to make video calling a reality on a wide range of Android devices over time.

If not, Google Duo will connect your video call to anyone with the app.

As Android Police reported recently, a preview of Google's Phone app v13, which is now out, brought the new Duo video call integration to the three communications app.

According to a new blog post from Google's Jan Jedrzejowicz, Google Duo's video-calling feature will be integrated into the Phone, Contacts and the Messaging apps on Android system. If both participants are on a carrier that supports ViLTE, the video extension of VoLTE, the call will be routed through the carrier's service. We're working with our carrier and device partners to bring this experience to more Android devices over time.

To download the new Pixel 2 launcher, head over to Android File Host for the launcher APK right this minute.

We aren't sure what took Google so long to make this feature available, but either way, we're thrilled that it's finally here to use. The Google Home trick of playing things on Chromecast is now available on your phone, closing the gap just slightly.

Still, if you want to get your hands on the new Pixel Launcher, you can do so by following the link below. If they have, users can make video calls from these apps to their contacts who also use Google Duo. This looks odd to me, and one users are likely to be embittered about.
