Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor and Attitus Ross rework John Carpenter's Halloween

John Carpenter Confirms That He'll Score The Halloween Movie

Nine Inch Nails' dynamic duo of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have shared their supremely spooky cover of John Carpenter's famous Halloween theme just in time for the hallowed holiday-check it out below!

In other good news, an interview with Billboard confirms that Carpenter himself will return to compose the music for the Blumhouse and Universal's new Halloween movie!

I clearly remember my friends and I at thirteen years old conning our parents into letting us see Halloween when it came out in 1978. "We left the theatre forever changed".

Their cover of the "Halloween" theme arrives in advance of Carpenter's pending Anthology: Movie Themes 1974-1978, which finds the directing legend re-recording 13 of the most chilling themes from throughout his career. We were damaged and scarred, with the s- genuinely scared out of us and that theme stuck firmly in our heads. This haunting piece of music is one of those that you'll go "ohhhh yeah" whenever you hear it, and was originally composed by John Carpenter, the director of Halloween.

It's busy days for master of horror John Carpenter.

"There are many options. I'll have to see the movie to see what it requires".

Carpenter said, "Laurie Strode comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago".

Few pairings could be so unnervingly flawless as Trent Reznor covering John Capenter's theme for 1978 horror film Halloween, but here we are, on this blessed Friday the 13, receiving just that.

The new Halloween film is expected out on October 19, 2018.
