Police recover vehicle used in dumping Tagbo’s body from Davido’s house
The Acting Commissioner of Police in the state, Imohimi Edgar, confirmed on Wednesday that the "If" crooner was re-invited for questioning.
"From the worldwide passport found in the deceased's vehicle, the DPO gave his identity as Tagbo Umeike".
The incident has generated a lot of controversies on social media since two weeks ago when actress Caroline Danjuma took to her Instagram page accusing Davido of being responsible for the death of Tagbo.
He also said a postmortem examination conducted on the deceased revealed that he died of suffocation.
The cause of their sudden deaths is, however, yet to be confirmed.
In the statement, Davido also claimed that Tagbo did not step a foot into his vehicle at any time. Two other associates of the singer, DJ Olu, 25, and Chime Amaechi, were found lifeless in the former's BMW auto parked in the underground garage of Block B, Banana Island, Lagos on Saturday, three days after Tagbo's death.
"This completely debunks Davido's claim that he did not know how the deceased got to the General Hospital. At the end of this fresh round of investigations, I will again let Lagosians known about our findings", the Police Commissioner added.
