With the many controversial statements and policies that Trump has pushed for, as a candidate and while serving as president, organizations across the country have distanced themselves from his properties or other brands.

Teams gave the Post various reasons for quitting Trump properties.

"Every other major pro sports team in Canada answered the Washington Post's question 'Does your team stay at Trump hotels?" with no response, no comment, or no.

The reports states that 16 of the 17 NFL, NBA, MLB and National Hockey League teams that previously stayed at Trump hotels in recent years confirmed they will be checking in at other properties when traveling around the country.

According to the Post, a dozen teams have stayed at Trump's SoHo hotel since its opening in 2010. "He continually offends people, and so people don't want to stay at his hotel". It's pretty simple."The Post reached out to all 123 teams in the four major US sports leagues to find out how many men's teams are still Trump customers".

All but one of the 12 teams said they have stopped patronizing the Trump SoHo since Donald Trump launched his presidential bid in 2015, according to team officials.

And in an interview with Sporting News, Bucks forward Jabari Parker said he was "proud" not to stay at Trump properties.

When Trump described any athlete that takes part in a silent protest as a "son of a b****" during a campaign rally last month, the NFL Players Association condemned the remarks.

Trump last month disinvited the Golden State Warriors to the White House after guard Stephen Curry, LeBron James and other pro athletes condemned Trump's comment during a political rally in Alabama calling for National Football League owners to fire any "son of a bitch" who kneeled during "The Star-Spangled Banner".

Of the 123 teams asked, a total of 105 responded to The Post, and not a single one confirmed that it continues to stay at Trump properties.

Trump SoHo used to be the place where more than a third of the National Basketball Association stayed when they had games in NY.

'I don't support someone who endorses hate on other people, ' Parker said. "He's attacked everything that I am and believe".
