Gujarat: Congress VP Rahul Gandhi mistakenly enters ladies toilet

Rahul Gandhi accidentally enters ladies' toilet in Gujarat!

Rahul Gandhi posted a series of tweets wherein he targeted the Prime Minister over the latter's home state Gujarat.

Just a day after Rahul Gandhi alleged that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) discriminates women and was slammed for the same, the Congress vice-president is back in news for a rather embarrassing gaffe that he committed during his Gujarat visit.

There is a change of guard happening at the top-most rung of the Congress party and it will happen soon.

Rahul, however, refused to comment on his elevation as the party president, NDTV reported. He termed it a positive move that would help the party in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.Thereafter, former chief minister Harish Rawat also brought to a resolution to give responsibility to AICC chief Sonia Gandhi to formally announce Pritam Singh as the elected Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress chief. The Election Commission has set a December deadline for the Congress to conclude the exercise.

The likely elevation will be weeks before the Assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat where the Congress faces a tough challenge from the BJP. However, the All India Congress Committee is considering to complete the process by the end of this month.

Incidentally, some years back when Rahul Gandhi was nearing Hunsur via Nagarahole-H.D.Kote Road, his vehicle was stopped near a dilapidated tile factory to urgently facilitate him to ease himself and like the present incident, it made news in the news-hungry newspapers in Mysuru.

Rahul Gandhi who now serves as the Vice President of Congress party is an MP from his local constituency Amethi in Uttar Pradesh.

Sonia became party chief in 1998 and is the longest-serving party president.

This is the first time when Congress leaders from UP have passed any such resolution for promoting the charge to the Congress vice-president.

Agarwal said that the all the leaders claimed that with Sonia Gandhi finding it hard to contribute enough time to the organisation, it was the right time to elevate Rahul Gandhi to the top post of Congress.
