Vegas still confident in Seahawks Seattle favored for Monday night

To make room for the two on the roster, Seattle placed cornerback Richard Sherman and running back C.J. Prosise on Injured Reserve, officially ending the season for each.

Davis was signed from Seattle's practice squad, where the team placed him after claiming him on waivers in May.

Sherman ruptured his Achilles in last week's win over the Arizona Cardinals and is out for the year.

Byron Maxwell will return to the Legion of Boom.

Maxwell, out of Clemson, was drafted in 2011 by the Seahawks with the No. 173 overall pick.

The 29-year-old has gone through a workout with Seattle on Monday morning prior to re-signing with the team.

Maxwell, who was released by the Miami Dolphins in October, will join the Seattle Seahawks once again. In his absence, the Seahawks went with Jeremy Lane for the rest of the game.

Prosise, 23, has struggled to establish himself as a nice complementary piece in Seattle's crowded backfield the way he did last campaign. The second-year tailback out of Notre Dame has received minimal work in a limited amount of time this season, taking 11 carries for 23 yards.

Davis is former fourth-round pick by the San Francisco 49ers out of SC. In the preseason, he led the Seahawks with 106 yards rushing and caught five passes for 41 yards.
