HTC U11 EYEs Launch Expected January 15; Price and Specifications Leak Alongside

The company has published a press invite on its Weibo account for an event taking place on January 15 in China, where it's expected to take the wraps off the U11 EYEs.

How do you like the HTC U11 EYEs? New rumors suggest that HTC is all set to launch yet another mid-range phone in the form of U11 EYEs. Black, Silver and Red will be the three color variants of the phone.

It looks like we have some details on a new smartphone from HTC, the HTC U11 EYEa, the handset will apparently come with dual Selfie cameras.

HTC U11 EYEs (aka Harmony) is rumoured to be backed by a 3,930mAh battery, and come with IP67 water and dust resistance. The smartphone is now leaked in HD renders along with some important specifications.

According to the tweet, the HTC U11 EYEs official launch showcases a 6-inch FHD display with Super LCD3 screen providing 1080 x 2160 resolutions. It is said to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC, coupled with 4GB RAM.




HTC usually brands the device with "Eye" if both the front and the rear camera setups are identical (e.g Desire Eye). On the storage front, the HTC U11 EYEs will offer 64GB/128GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot.

The images Blass had leaked reveal a dual-selfie-camera setup and an 18:9 aspect ratio display on the phone, which makes it the company's second to come with the trendy feature. And it inherits the U11's rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, which is situated above the EYEs's etched HTC logo and underneath its 12MP rear camera.

The U11 EYEs will launch with Android Nougat.

Reports say the phone could land in Hong Kong, China, and HTC's home country Taiwan first, and then in other markets, including the USA, as HTC Harmony.
