The rain is being pushed along by a cold front that will bring clearing skies, a brisk northwest wind, and much colder temperatures. Sunshine is likely for our Friday.

"The strong winds will bring blowing snow and near-zero visibility at times with very hard to impossible travel conditions Wednesday night into the Thursday morning commute", the forecast said. Rain transitions back to snow with a low pressure tracking up the Appalachians into the Northeast producing a chance for a period of heavier snowfall Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning.
