DONALD Trump is set to ring in the New Year at his lavish Mar-a-Lago resort - but those wishing to start 2018 in the same room as the President will be forking out £560 for the privilege.

US President Donald Trump certainly made his mark on 2017, featuring high among many people's reasons for welcoming the chance to bid the year farewell.

He still owns various properties, including Mar-a-Lago.

The US President predicted a "tremendous" 2018, saying he expected the stock market would continue to gain ground and that companies would return to the US. He's been playing golf at one of his nearby golf courses, and on Friday invited about 60 members of the Coast Guard to join him. Donald Trump also expressed his condolences to the people who were injured and killed in the shooting in Denver.

The Palm Beach Post reported Saturday that the private helicopter bearing the Trump logo had sat on the helipad for over a week.

Scott was one of the first elected officials to praise Trump in early 2016 and Trump publicly called for Scott to challenge Nelson during a June visit to Miami and a September visit to Southwest Florida to survey Hurricane Irma damage. Though CNN noted that new restrictions have been imposed at the club to limit access to Trump, a Washington Post report alleged that aides believe members and their guests "try to take advantage of the president and exploit his relative freedom from the staff and regimens of the West Wing". He also shared some thoughts on his "pretty good enemies", who may or may not include Kim Jong Un, but certainly include the people who release polls declaring former President Barack Obama is more admired than Trump.




The White House didn't acknowledge Trump was even playing golf, though he did show up in golf clothes.

Mr. Trump has encouraged Scott to challenge Sen.

"The USA is watching very closely for human rights violations!" he added.

Trump supporters said the extra hassle and cost will be worth it.
