Eric Clapton Reveals He's Losing His Hearing

Eric Clapton says he's going deaf because of Tinnitus

Much like former AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson, Clapton's hearing has left him concerned with his ability to still play onstage, Although he continues to work into his 70s, he is only doing a few gigs at a time. He is the only ever three-time-inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, an 18-time Grammy Award victor, and widely renowned as one of the greatest performers of all time.

"I'm hoping that people will come along and see me just because, or maybe more than because I'm a curiosity", he continued.

I'm going deaf, I've got tinnitus, my hands just about work... It is often a symptom of a more severe condition, such as hearing loss or an ear injury.

Eric still plans to put on some fantastic shows, and he wants fans to come and appreciate his music. Two years ago in June 2016, Eric admitted that the nerve damage was making it more hard to play guitar.

The life and times of legendary guitarist Eric Clapton is the gripping subject of a new documentary by his longtime friend Lili Fini Zanuck, the Oscar winning producer of "Driving Miss Daisy".

Eric has had his fair share of struggles in his life. Still, he acknowledges that curiosity status "is part of it, because it's wonderful to myself that I am still here". In the interview, he said that "for at least 20 years, I was a basket case".

"I think my past is probably my greatest asset because I can show some people, that are interested, that it's an option to drink like that", he added.

Clapton released his last album,"I Still Do, in 2016".
