West Ham keen on Everton youngster Davies

Ligue 1 giants Nice are also keen on Shaqiri, who won the Bundesliga and Champions League with Bayern Munich, but West Ham will look to pip them to the signature of the 26-year-old who cost £12million upon arriving England from Inter Milan in 2015.

Ian Wright has predicted in The Sun that West Ham United will win against Huddersfield Town in the Premier League this afternoon.

The Terriers had no answer to the skills of Marko Arnautovic and Manuel Lanzini as David Moyes chalked up his 200th Premier League victory.

David Wagner's hopes of Huddersfield maintaining momentum in the early stages of the second half were quickly extinguished by a sensational Arnautovic strike from the kick-off.

West Ham, now with a stranglehold on the game, went further in front, with Arnautovic the architect this time. The Austria worldwide this time beat Smith to race clear into the area and again found Lanzini, who rammed home his third goal of the season.

The Austria global created the opener for Mark Noble midway through the first half, only for Joe Lolley to level things up with his first league goal of the campaign.

The second half blitz was completed five minutes later when Arnautovic broke from the halfway line and found Lanzini who blasted past Lossl from the centre of the area.

Arnautovic then sent Lanzini through with a smart through ball with the outside of his foot and the Argentine slotted home confidently to make it 3-1 in the 56th.

Watched by Sir Alex Ferguson, the man who made sure Moyes got the Manchester United job in 2013, the Scot's side ran riot on their first league visit to Huddersfield since 1971.

Periods of possession and build-up play from both sides were regularly interrupted when they reached the attacking third where they were unable to maintain control.

Moyes felt that Lanzini's first-half display was underwhelming but praised his improvement after the break as he scored twice in five minutes for his first goals since November 4.

Huddersfield have now conceded seven goals in their last two Premier League games, after conceding six in their previous six matches.

Huddersfield will have a week to prepare for their crucial trip to Stoke City next Saturday, whereas West Ham have a mid-week FA Cup replay against Shrewsbury to contend with before hosting Bournemouth on the weekend.
