National Basketball Association executives, agents believe Lakers will fire Luke Walton, hire David Fizdale

The Los Angeles Lakers knocked off the Dallas Mavericks in overtime on Saturday, giving them their fourth consecutive win.

Earlier in the campaign, president of the Lakers operations, Magic Johnson, called for a "shot doctor" to work with the team's shooting woes.

More than a week earlier, LaVar Ball, father of Lakers' starting point guard Lonzo Ball, stated the team is playing like they have lost confidence in their coach.

Los Angeles Lakers controlling owner Jeanie Buss has finally offered some public support for head coach Luke Walton.

In what has been a hard season for the Los Angeles Lakers, one of the few bright spots has been second-year forwardBrandon Ingram. The Lakers had him in on November 29, at which time LaVar said he'd come to them with any complaints.

It's not time for Luke Walton to put his house on the market quite yet.

Or that's what the Lakers thought he said. Defensively, however, the Lakers looked like a complete mess and lost all four games because rim protection was nearly non-existent.

This week, the Los Angeles Lakers have been turning a corner.

In a move that's become entirely predictable, LaVar Ball took another shot at the Los Angeles Lakers, who are now mired in a nine-game losing streak. They had a 35-8 edge on the break this time, and Ball's 11 assists were his most since the rookie sustained a shoulder injury that sidelined him for six games.

Walton used to play for the Lakers from 2003 to 2012 before being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers the following year.

Certain segments of sports media continue to sow supposed doubts about Luke Walton's status with the Los Angeles Lakers by way of LaVar Ball.

"That was a pathetic performance by our team, and a lot of the reason for it was the way the Lakers played", San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich said. They understand what wins and loses, what they have to do to get an advantage, and really understand the game.

But politically, there's another motive, and L.A. has to be all in on LeBron James this summer.

"I don't know if guys expected this team just to fall and go through the motions", Gasol said.

Leonard said he suffered the injury when he got hit with an elbow by one of the Phoenix Suns' big men in a game January 5 at the AT&T Center. Now attempting less than two three-pointers a game, Ingram must improve in that area if he is to become a true scoring threat in the National Basketball Association.
