PETA Slams Youtuber Logan Paul For Using Taser On Dead Rats

PETA Statement: Logan Paul Finds Humor in Suffering and Death

YouTube star Logan Paul is under scrutiny yet again for a video posted to his channel this week showing him using a stun gun on dead rats

YouTube has temporarily suspended advertising on Logan Paul's vlogging channel following his comeback on the website.

YouTube has once again penalised vlogger Logan Paul for posting inappropriate content, just weeks after he was suspended from the company's paid-content program over a video trivialising suicide.

On Dec. 31, Paul, 22, posted a video during his trip to Japan that included footage of a person who had died from a suicide.

"After careful consideration, we have chose to temporarily suspend ads on Logan Paul's YouTube channels", YouTube said in a statement made to The Verge.

Logan Paul is no stranger to doing stupid AF things, getting criticized for them, and then apologizing and moving forward like nothing happened.

In the wake of the controversy, Paul also lost a series deal with French digital studio Blackpills and was cut from YouTube Red's original series "Foursome".

It is unclear how much YouTube's decision to suspend his ad revenue will affect Paul's earnings, as he has a lucrative merchandise line that he promotes multiple times per video to his 63 million subscribers. After a three-week self-imposed hiatus, Paul returned with a lavishly made video on suicide awareness, claiming he wanted to be part of the "solution".

This is a bigger effect for Paul than YouTube's first punishment, which simply removed Paul from Google Preferred, the company's top-tier ad group for creators. A YouTube representative told Polygon it wasn't a decision the company made lightly, but YouTube believes his entire channel is unsuitable for advertisers. His main channel now has more than 16.6 million subscribers, up almost 1 million since the start of 2018.
