The Pentagon and Kabul have long accused Pakistan of harboring terrorists, something that Islamabad denies.

Dilawar, another leader at the madrassa, is said to have relayed Aminullah's messages, transferred funds and facilitated his travel in Pakistan and the Gulf.

"Any free movement from their side to our side, or our side to their side, can breed mistrust and obviously some terrorist activity on our side or on their soil", he said.

Addressing scholars and researchers at the Woodrow Wilson think tank in Washington on Tuesday he said this was a "credible and doabe way forward" to address concerns about militants crossing over borders with impunity that has bedevilled peace in the region.

It was time for worldwide community to remember the plight of millions of Afghan refugees in Pakistan, who have been displaced due to decades of violence. Asif urged the United States to help Islamabad sent the Afghan refugees back to their native land.

The move was initiated since the U.S. is unhappy with Pakistan's approach to terrorists on home soil.

Some border disputes between the two neighbors have triggered armed clashes.

The strike took place in the mountainous Barmal district of Paktia province, where fighters from both the Haqqani network and Pakistan's Tehrik-e-Taliban militant group are believed to operate.

"The use of terrorism has no place in a rules-based global system".
