Disney raises ticket, annual pass prices at Disneyland and Walt Disney World
Among the changes: A one-day regular Magic Kingdom ticket purchased at the gate will cost $119, a $4 increase while cost of a peak ticket increased $5 to $129. Disney World operates under a tiered pricing system, meaning the cost of tickets will depend on when you visit.
Disney has a number of different ticket options at their parks, including annual passes, two-to-five day passes and state-specific passes that benefit state residents in California and Florida.
Officials at Walt Disney World have announced Sunday that their tickets prices at Walt Disney World in Orlando and at Disneyland in California are going up. Your Disney World theme park admission tickets will be tied to the dates you plan to use them, just like hotel reservations and airfares. "Regular" times at these parks will cost $114 for an adult and $108 for a child.
Starting Sunday, "value days for the Magic Kingdom will cost $109 for adults and $103 for children". Those one-day "value" tickets are also increasing $2, raising the price to $102 for adults and $96 for kids. A single-day ticket during peak times will cost $135, which is an $11 increase over previous year. That's a $4 increase. A single-day ticket during peak periods will climb to $135, also an increase at $11. Each month was divided into value, regular and peak days with an 8-11 month calendar available online, hoping to prevent overcrowding during the theme parks' busiest times. All of the increases are reflected on the parks' websites.
"We will be reshaping our Annual Pass program to better manage the guest experience throughout the year, which will help all Disneyland Resort guests have a great visit, particularly as we look forward to the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in 2019", a Disneyland spokesperson said.
