Antonio Conte lieutenant reveals how punishing Chelsea manager's training sessions are

LUIS ENRIQUE only has eyes for the Premier League, despite interest from elsewhere, according to reports in Catalonia.

Antonio Conte has revealed it has been "a disaster" trying to convince Chelsea of which signings they should be making.

"I do feel sorry for the manager because the job he did previous year was absolutely outstanding and I don't really think he's changed too much", Sky Sports News quotes him as saying.

Conte, whose contract expires next year, was quoted as saying in The Guardian: "You continue to work with a manager or coach not because of what he achieves in one season but because you trust in him". I have spoken with him.

Chelsea manager Conte was quick to laud Enrique's ability, however, and insisted that the former Roma and Barcelona manager is a "fantastic coach".

"No one person trusted us to win the title this season", continued Conte.

Chelsea of course have been linked for a few weeks now as Antonio Conte's future has been thrown into even greater disarray than normal, though most sources agree that even if Conte gets the early boot, Luis Enrique wouldn't be taking over until the summer. He reached his targets with Barcelona, and also with Roma, you could see a well-organised team.

'We do this job, and you must be open and understand the situation can change. "I have, usually, a great respect [for fellow managers]".

Chris Sutton believes Chelsea FC didn't sign enough players of quality to win the Champions League and retain the Premier League. Even though the Baggies are bottom of the Premier League, they actually find themselves in a odd position.

Other players recommended by Conte, most notably Leonardo Bonucci and Fernando Llorente, were dismissed by Chelsea as being too old to fit the broader remit of refreshing the squad with younger players who can grow at Stamford Bridge and accumulate in value.

"If I don't remember badly, there were two teams to fight for the title - the two Manchester clubs".
