Fake Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un Crash Opening Ceremony

In addition to Moon and Kim's sister Kim Yo-jong, the game was attended by Kim Yong-nam, North Korean titular head of state, and International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach.

A White House official said Pence did not interact with Kim Yo Jong or Kim Yong Nam who were seated a row behind the US vice president during the opening ceremony.

According to journalists in Pyeongchang for the ceremony, it's unclear what the two impersonators were doing, but they apparently made a scene.

They also made plans to attend a concert together on Sunday, to see a North Korean orchestra perform in Seoul.

Speaking to reporters on his flight home on Saturday, Pence said the United States, South Korea and Japan were in complete agreement on isolating North Korea over its nuclear weapons program.

Pence will be going up against a group of high-profile representatives from nearby North Korea, a place the vice president has aptly called the world's "most tyrannical and oppressive regime". North Korea's involvement in the Olympics has been sparse, with their last Winter Olympics coming in 2010 in Vancouver.

Trump, who has at times exchanged taunts and threats with Kim, said in early January after the first intra-Korean talks in over two years that the United States was willing to speak to North Korea "under the right circumstances", although it was far from clear whether this would pay dividends.

The younger Kim's trip to the South marks the first time that a member of the North's ruling dynasty has visited since the Korean war, which ended in an armistice in 1953. "It was done in hockey, so why not with us?" he said. "They have people hungry in North Korea".

Past "charm offensives" have been interpreted as North Korea trying to recoup from crippling sanctions on their nuclear program, or trying to drive a wedge between Seoul and its US ally. While it would be a diplomatic coup for Moon, who was elected on a promise to pursue warmer relations with the North, it could strain relations with the United States, which has appeared uncomfortable at the warm welcome afforded to the North Korean delegation over the past few days.

Other members of the North Korean delegation present at Saturday's meeting included Ri Son Gwon - who led the first sit-down talks at the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) earlier this year, and Choe Hwi. They were joined by North Korea's nominal head of state, Kim Yong Nam.

While the North Korean high-level delegation's visit to the South last week marked a starting point for the peaceful resolution of issues on the Korean peninsula, the official said there hadn't been progress on the denuclearization agenda.

"I was encouraged by the affirmation of our alliance and our common goal, from both (Japanese) Prime Minister Abe and President Moon", Pence said. After Kim arrived at Incheon Airport and met with the Korean unification minister, Kim Yong Nam gestured for her to take the center seat at the table - leading many South Korean news outlets to conclude that she's essentially her brother's second in command. The U.S.is wise to the ruse.

The delegation's most substantive event may come outside of the Olympic ambit on Saturday.

"I cordially propose a toast to you hoping that we make concerted efforts to advance the date of reunification", Kim was quoted as saying.

Kim Yo Jong, 30, was elected to the politburo previous year, but remains little known outside North Korea and has not appeared much in public until now.

Though it has no real medal contenders and sent only 22 athletes, North Korea has turned out to be a major political player in Pyeongchang.
