US Figure Skater Adam Rippon's Interview Is Going Viral

Winter Olympics 2018: Who is figure skater Adam Rippon?
She scored a total score of 137.53, a personal best, the Associated Press reported. Only Japan's Midori Ito and Mao Asada had done it.
The axel is considered so hard because it is the only jump in which the skater takes to the air while facing forward.
But on Monday, the woman whose Japanese immigrant parents run a sushi restaurant and mother hand-sewed her costumes, made skating history by becoming the first American woman - and only the third woman overall - to land the fiendishly hard triple Axel jump at an Olympics. Tonya Harding landed the jump in 1991, as did Kimmie Meissner in 2005. "However, my Olympic experience is not over and I'm excited to go home and recover for a little bit and still soak in every second of this".
She sought to return to the Olympic games in Sochi in 2014, but wasn't selected to the United States team in what was a controversial decision.
2014 gold medalist and six-time U.S. Champion Meryl Davis chimed in.
As previously reported, Olympic figure skaters are performing to music with lyrics for the first time at the Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea, due to a recent rule change.
The most notable nugget of Rippon's camera time came when he detailed how he spent the last Olympic games eating In-N-Out with USA women's figure skater Mirai Nagasu.
But both figure skaters were very determined. Those memories of sitting at home with close friend Adam Rippon, eating In-N-Out and watching their friends and peers compete for sports immorality, were no doubt in the back of her mind when she made a decision to include the vaunted triple axel in her program.
Nagasu says that while in general she turns to comedy and laughter to reduce pressure at big events like the Olympics, overcoming the heartbreak of missing the Sochi team was tough.
Christine Brennan, who's at the Olympics reporting, pointed out how popular Rippon was with the media.
"Tonight, the Olympics are truly magical..."
Rippon is the men's free skate representative in Sunday's team competition, taking over for Chen who skated the short program portion.
We were all reminded why we should never give up.
The two friends were clutching Olympic medals instead of burgers after the team event.
