Juelz Santana is expected to turn himself in to authorities Sunday after TSA agents found a gun on the Diplomats rapper in Newark Airport. "Police from Totowa, New Jersey said they were told the rapper will be turning himself in Sunday morning".

Sources told NBC that Santana may have hopped into a taxi, and is now being sought by the Port Authority Police Department.

Both the TSA and the Port Authority declined to confirm that Santana was the suspect involved in the airport incident. Santana, whose real name is LaRon Louis James, was going through the screening at Terminal C about 6 p.m. when sources said agents discovered the firearm. The arrest culminated a 10-month investigation into gang activity, they said.

PAPD detectives have been on the search for the "Oh Yes" rapper since Friday.

Santana, a founding member of the rap group "The Diplomats", has been living since a year ago on Totowa's Hamilton Trail, a street lined with stately, three-story homes, according to neighbors.

He was arrested in 2011 after New Jersey cops found marijuana, a pair of loaded handguns and ammunition in his Bergenfield, N.J., recording studio.
