Footage Released Allegedly Shows UFO Encounter by US Military

Newly-released DoD video purportedly shows Navy pilot's encounter with UFO

The pod was mounted underneath a US Navy F/A-18 jet flying about 25,000 feet at a speed of Mach 0.62.

While Elizondo acknowledged the video captured by the jet was not necessarily of "a little green space alien", he said they couldn't rule anything out.

While the Department of Defense has yet to comment on the release of this alien UFO sighting, the fact that it comes from a generally reliable source gives credence to the fact that I may in fact be a legitimate sighting.

In October 2017, fighter jets were dispatched to investigate a unusual object caught by radar, and sighted by pilots, flying along a commercial route in broad daylight over Oregon.

As the UFO continues on its flight path, one of the pilot makes a note of their speed and direction - "They are all going against the wind".

"Wow, what is that, man?" the other pilot says.

Last December, retired U.S. Navy Cmdr.

"I have never seen anything in my life, in my history of flying that has the performance, the acceleration - keep in mind this thing had no wings", he said.

Mellon, who is also an advisor to the private research firm called To the Stars Academy of Arts and Science, wrote that the sightings of highly advanced aircrafts much superior to the ones in the U.S. have hinted at a possibility of some countries going much ahead of others in technology or an evidence of an alien civilization.

His letter warned of the "many accounts from the Navy and other services of unusual aerial systems interfering with military weapon platforms and displaying beyond-next-generation capabilities", The Times reported.

The US government finally cut off funding in 2012 - having spent $22m a year over five years from 2008-2011 - although the programme was not officially shut down until the military intelligence official in charge quit his post in October 2017, the New York Times reported.

The Pentagon has finally acknowledged the existence of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification (AATI) Program, a government-funded programme tasked with investigating UFOs and their potential threat.

Chris Mellon, a TTSA advisor and former deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence in the Clinton and George W. Bush administrations, slammed what he said was the lack of research into what could be behind these videos in an op-ed published Friday in the Washington Post.

He said one of the reasons it isn't investigated to the extent it should be is the stigma attached to UFOs.

"Nobody wants to be "the alien guy" in the national security bureaucracy; nobody wants to be ridiculed or sidelined for drawing attention to the issue", he added. "This is true up and down the chain of command, and it is a serious and recurring impediment to progress", he said.
