Amitabh Bachchan's wife Jaya expected to be country's richest MP with assets worth Rs 1000 crore
What's noteworthy is her declaration: she announced assets worth Rs. 1,000cr, and could well be India's richest MP.
She has declared her assets while filing the nomination form as a Samajwadi Party candidate for the Rajya Sabha from UP.
That would put her above BJP Rajya Sabha MP Ravindra Kishore Sinha who declared his assets worth Rs 800 crore in 2014 when he entered the upper House. According to documents, Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan now have moveable assets valued at INR5.4 billion. Then she was twice re-elected in 2006 and 2012.

Going by the affidavit the Rs.1000 crore assets is as such- 540 crores of moveable assets and 460 crores of immoveable assets.
