Anyone hoping to pack away their winter hats and gloves should hold off for a few more days as forecasters warn of rain, high winds and the potential for more snow.
Meanwhile, yellow warnings have been issued from midday on Wednesday to Thursday noon in Northern Ireland because of the likelihood of persistent and occasionally heavy rain and the resulting danger of flooding.
The Met Office has forecast a return to colder temperatures later this week. That means snow is likely in some parts.
Cold winds could bring snow to Scotland and northeast England by the end of the week and to southern England by the start of next week, the Met Office said.
