'Monster Hunter' Update: Capcom Teases Deviljho's Upcoming Return

Monster Hunter: World to get Devil May Cry content soon

Early next month, Capcom will kick off the Spring Blossom Fest, the first seasonal event in Monster Hunter World.

Capcom has just concluded a lengthy live stream, announcing details of upcoming updates for Monster Hunter: World. Each player will receive 1 free ticket for their own use.

Toppling the fearsome Deviljho "Brute Wyvern" will grant new materials from the beast that can be used to craft the Vangis α and Vangis ß armour sets, as well as one new version in each of the 14 existing weapon types, including a new Deviljho Sword, Shield, Hunting Horn, Bow, Insect Glaive and Charge Blade.

Hunters, beware: the arrival of the Deviljho in the New World is nigh!

Spring Blossom Fest complete with a fully decorated gathering hub and fun daily activities. Wyvern Ignition was designed as part of the series' traditional fan design contest. Oh, and food! You can't have a party without food, so we've added a special new platter too.

The announcement came from the official Monster Hunter Twitter account, which confirmed that Palicoes will be able to equip some rad Mega Man gear starting April 13.

Update: Capcom has gone over all the new updates in a blog post. And speaking of adjustments, if you're not happy in retrospect with how you've crafted your Hunter, players will be getting a free "Hunter Personal Grooming Ticket" that will allow you to change your Hunter's gender and looks, though your Palico and your name will stay the same.

Attacks from allies no longer interrupt you during the carving animation.

Added "Return to Gathering Hub" (single player) and "Disband & Return to Gathering Hub" (multiplayer) to the options for "Select Return Destination" after a quest has been completed.

Are you excited for this new slate of content for Monster Hunter: World?
