Twitch has just announced that it is celebrating the community's enormous response to the Twitch Prime Indie Amplifier program by welcoming new members with free games. Twitch mentions in its blog that all eight titles from the Indie Amplifier program will be made available for Twitch Prime subscribers over the next few months. These titles will be available to claim until March 31. The victor, Shadow Tactics, will naturally be featured in March.
To be clear, free games aren't new to Twitch Prime. For Australians access to Twitch Prime is free for any Amazon Prime subscriber - you'll just need to link your accounts.
We're not sure yet how the games will be delivered to you, but it's likely to be through the Twitch desktop application.
Considering that Amazon acquired Twitch, it wasn't surprising to see Amazon leverage the streaming platform and fold it into its Prime program with Twitch Prime, a "premium experience" that is included with every Prime or Prime Video membership. Considering Amazon has a lot of Prime subscribers already, this is a good way to grab the attention of those who may not previously have been interested in Twitch. Born out of their Indie Amplifier program, those with a Twitch Prime will be able to receive five games for your PC gaming libraries that will be yours to keep forever.
