A major change to the forthcoming version of Gmail would be the addition of a new sidebar. This is a helpful feature as users will be eligible to send a reply to an email with one mere click. It is speculated that this new feature is closely going to follow the update in Gmail's interface.

The "snooze" button will also temporarily hide emails from user's inbox until a certain time.

Now, after nearly 3.5 years, Google has confirmed that a new layout and few new features would be soon introduced in Gmail. Users will likely see the new layout appear in the next few weeks. It seems that not only the design will change as Gmail is set to bring in a very important surprising new feature which was added by Google, and it was discovered shortly before the official release. In 2017, Gmail had 1.2 billion active worldwide users.

Gmail Go is available now and joins other Google Go apps like YouTube, Files and Chrome Go. The compact view is the most similar to the existing Gmail design, allowing existing users to keep a similar layout.

Some plugins also are available for the "Gmail Add-ons" feature that was unveiled in past October.

Meanwhile, a rough sketch of the new Gmail interface has surfaced online, which has been shared by an Indian, who saw a Google employee working on it in a public transport!

The email was meant to prepare employees tasked with managing companies' G Suite apps - Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, etc. - to answer questions about the redesign as it's rolled out to personal accounts, meaning we could expect it to look noticeably different. The update is also expected introduce smart reply, and easy ways to access G-Suite apps from within Gmail.

The new Gmail features include smart reply, offline support, and a "snooze emails" option, according to the report.

Earlier this month, Google has announced a new feature in Search that will help to plan movie nights better movie show times.
