Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir), Apr 15 (ANI): One of the two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ministers who resigned after participating in a rally in support of the culprits in Kathua rape and murder case, Chaudhary Lal Singh on Sunday said that he resigned on moral grounds.
BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav, who flew in to Jammu this morning, had a meeting with party leaders as well as legislators after which a decision to hand over the resignations of ministers Lal Singh and Chander Prakash Ganga to the chief minister was taken. After that, it will be sent to the Chief Minister to the same. Two days ago, speaking on the recent rape incidents, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said no perpetrators will be spared involved in the case.
"Yes, there has been indiscretion and it is for this that they made a decision to step down", news gatherer quotes him saying after the BJP legislature party meeting.

The senior BJP leader said the resignation of the ministers was to address the fears of not only its ally PDP and the people of Jammu and Kashmir but also the entire nation.
"We appreciate our alliance partner who helped us in this case".
"The charge that the two ministers were pro-rapist is absolutely wrong".
The incident sparked massive outrage in the country, with people calling for speedy justice in the case. A week later, her body was found in the same area. She was taken to a temple in Rasana village in Kathua district.
SP leader Chandrapal Singh Yadav quickly launched an attack and said names of BJP leaders in the conversation shows they were shielding criminals.
