Hitting back at the Congress leaders for blaming the BJP government for the acquittal of the accused, he alleged that the opposition party has " double standards" and as it had welcomed a court order in favour of accused in the 2G scam case.

Eleven years after powerful bombs ripped through Hyderabad's historic, killing nine people and wounding 58, a special court on Monday acquitted all five accused, including Swami Aseemanand due to lack of clinching evidence.

The case was handed over to the CBI within a month, and then the NIA in 2011. In this case, a charge sheet was filed against eight out of the ten accused in this case, which included the name of NabKumar Sarkar aka Swami Aseemanand.

A high alert has been sounded ahead of the crucial verdict in the Mecca Masjid case.

"Swami Aseemanand, Bharat Bhai Rateshwar, Rajendra Choudhary, Lokendra Sharma and Devender Gupta who were facing trial were acquitted in the case, said Aseemanand's advocate J". Meanwhile, the other two accused, Sandeep V Dange and Ramchandra Kalsangra are still absconding. All of them are members of right-wing Hindu organization Abhinav Bharat. "He said he had deputed Sunil Joshi for this job (terror attacks) and he would extend Joshi whatever help was required".

The court said the country's top anti-terror body, the National Investigation Agency (NIA), had failed to prove anyone's guilt.

A total of 226 witnesses were examined during the trial and 411 documents were exhibited to an additional metropolitan sessions-cum-special court for NIA cases which concluded the trial last week.

In a similar case of Ajmer Dargah blast case in March 2017, a court in Rajasthan had sentenced Devendra Gupta and others for life in jail.

Aseemanand was acquitted previous year in the 2007 Ajmer Dargah terror attack.
