Liverpool Players Make Jokes About Harry Kane Claiming Goals

Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, who now leads the race for the Golden Boot, expressed his disbelief over the decision on Twitter - as did a number of other footballers including Virgil van Dijk and Jamie Vardy.

With 29 goals, four ahead of Kane, Salah is the favourite for the Premier League Golden Boot and he reacted quickly when it was first announced the Englishman was awarded the goal through appeal.

"(Salah) told me he's going to claim all of them", Henderson told BT Sport after the Egypt global scored his 30th league goal of the campaign.

Hot on the heels of Jordan Henderson suggesting Mo Salah might try and claim all three of Liverpool's goals against Bournemouth on Saturday evening, up popped James Milner.

Spurs have progressed to the semi-finals of the FA Cup, and the North London outfit also advanced to the last-16 stage of the Champions League.

"We are very happy, we wanted to win the league but it has been a hard season, there has been a lot of improvements in other teams".

Past year against (Romelu) Lukaku it was a tough competition and he finished the season really strongly with the amount of goals he scored. I think Harry is a very honest person, he's not going to lie about this situation. "I don't care about the rest".

Kane was also in action on Sunday, but found little joy as Manchester City kept him quiet during their 3-1 victory at Wembley. "It's like that, but in the end we play as a team".

For anyone who's been under a rock all week, Tottenham successfully appealed that their second goal at Stoke last weekend came off Kane last, even though it was originally awarded to Christian Eriksen.

The finish was excellent, but no more impressive than the pass by Trent Alexander-Arnold, who's enjoying his best spell as a Liverpool player following two breakout performances against Manchester City in the Champions League.

"Of course he never thought that this situation was going to go on to such big things when he was so, so, so, so certain that he touched the ball", the Argentinian added.
