Pennsylvanians set to go to polls for primaries on Tuesday

Early voting for Texas primary runoff election begins Monday
8 a.m.to 5 p.m. All told, there are 84 candidates on primary ballots, the most since 1984, and there are seven open seats, the most since 1976, when Pennsylvania had 25 seats in the U.S. House. The victor faces Republican Gov. Greg Abbott in the fall.
Pennsylvania is a hotly contested swing state, and the redistricting is expected to boost Democrats' chances of winning several of the U.S. House seats in the state in November. Rep. Lamar Smith's seat in the 21st Congressional District is up for grabs. The victor will run against Democratic Governor Tom Wolf in November.
Greg McCauley, an attorney from Chadds Ford, is running unopposed in the Republican Primary. Two challengers have signed up for the GOP primary, and three Democrats have entered the fray in a district historically unkind to their party. Casey is one of 10 Democratic senators running for re-election in states won by President Donald Trump in the 2016 election. The Republicans are Rick Saccone (who lost to Conor Lamb in the nationally watched special election) and Guy Reschenthaler.
If you voted in a party primary, you're eligible to vote in that primary's runoff.
Under Pennsylvania's new congressional map - which was drawn by the state Supreme Court after the court ruled the old map was unconstitutionally gerrymandered - the 6th District includes all of Chester County and part of Berks County.
HD 71, five Republicans have signed on to hold an open seat that Democrats have been trying to flip for a decade.
There are also three special elections on Tuesday to fill vacancies created when three House members left early to take other jobs: Rep. Brandon Neuman, D-Washington; Rep. Scott Petri, R-Bucks; and Rep. Matt Baker, R-Bradford.
Polling place locations and official voter information can be found on the County's web site.
