Get ready for 'Must-See Buffalo TV Night' on CBS this fall

CBS Exec on 'Murphy Brown' Reboot Ratings: 'I'm Not Sure We'll Get 'Roseanne' Numbers'

"When you have a primetime lineup that won the season while competing against the Super Bowl and the Winter Olympics on another network, you look to keep your core schedule mostly intact, while making strategic moves to help grow nights", said Kelly Kahl, President of CBS Entertainment, said about the fall schedule.

CBS has a remake ("Magnum P.I."), a revival ("Murphy Brown") and four new shows on its schedule for fall 2018.

CBS announced that Candice Bergen's titular character has a new gig as the host of Murphy in the Morning in the comedy's upcoming reboot.

"The revival of the groundbreaking comedy about the eponymous broadcast news legend and her biting take on current events, now in a world of 24-hour cable, social media, "fake news" and a vastly different political climate".

Bergen is reuniting with co-stars Faith Ford, Joe Regalbuto and Grant Shaud.

CBS is going back in time this fall with the return of Murphy Brown and Magnum P.I.

CBS will premiere six new series (three sitcoms and three dramas) in fall, the most of the major networks.

Suicide Squad's Jay Hernandez will be taking over the role made famous by Tom Selleck in the Magnum P.I. reboot, which tells the story of a former Navy SEAL who uses his military training to become a private investigator.

And, no surprise here, just about all of them are right in the CBS wheelhouse.

A procedural from "Law & Order" producer Dick Wolf and writer Craig Turk ("The Good Wife") set at the bureau's NY office.

Another new CBS fall drama, which will air 8-9 Sunday, is "God Friended Me".

To make way for these newcomers, CBS dumped such veterans shows as "Scorpion" (with former Clevelander Robert Patrick) and "Kevin Can Wait".

CBS has officially revealed its TV lineup for fall 2018, its first in years that will not feature Thursday Night Football.

The final new shows that made the cut for the fall lineup are dramas Federal Bureau of Investigation and God Friended Me.

The network announced today that the revival of "Murphy Brown" will air at 9:30 p.m. Thursday following "Mom".

Two other new dramas, The Code and The Red Line, and new comedy Fam will be held for midseason, along with returning shows Instinct, Elementary, Man with a Plan, and Life.
