Facebook Stories is getting some new features including the option to Save Stories. These will be rolled out for India first

This said, sharing a story on Instagram has never been so easy - so Facebook has had to learn how to keep up with the feature in order to stay in the game.

Facebook has introduced new features to lure more users to try out the disappearing photo and video format borrowed from rival Snapchat. If you have, then you might be glad to know that Facebook is launching a Save option, so you can do your story now and post it later.

The third part of the Stories-focused update allows users to save images from the Facebook Camera to a private Facebook cloud storage.

Only the user can see photos that are saved to Facebook's Camera and stored on the cloud. Hayes said that Facebook was rolling out these Stories specific features in the Indian market first, though they would be made available in other countries later on. "It is a way for people to save the memories that they've shared to Stores", said Hayes. While they aren't yet clickable, Facebook will likely add that feature soon.

Unfortunately, Facebook is yet to confirm Voice Posts for Stories rollout plans for iOS.

By adding this functionality to Stories, Facebook could capitalize on some of that popularity and, perhaps, get a few more people to start using the platform.

Hayes adds that Facebook is adding this feature in order to "help people share and connect with their friends and family on Facebook in ways that are authentic to them".

The Facebook Camera will now have a new Audio button for Voice Posts

The first updates are enabled by changes to Facebook's in-app camera. Users will now have the freedom to revisit Stories, edit them and post them later to Facebook feeds.

But if the company wants to maintain that pace, it needs to juice Stories' growth in the main Facebook app, not just Instagram and WhatsApp.

Last August, Facebook announced that it was bringing Stories to its desktop site in a move that many viewed as a last-ditch effort to make the product popular.

However, as it struggled to take off, the company at one point displayed grayed out icons in the Stories space in an effort to make it appear less empty.

Is Facebook slowly becoming a "has-been"? But now Facebook is expanding its creative work ground by enabling people share voice posts on its platform.

A company spokesperson said all these features should be available to US audiences in the near future.
