Solo Star Wars Story huge cameo revealed

Lando Calrissian does as he pleases and the same rings true with his sexual preferences, according to Lawrence Kasdan, lead writer for Solo: A Star Wars Story. While Solo: A Star Wars Story has to set up the origin of a character fans know so well, Lando is a character who still has a lot left to define in his life.

Premiere blames a miscommunication between Kennedy and the interviewer for the previous erroneous quote.

Han Solo premiers at the Cannes Film Festival, and while speaking with Premiere, LucasFilm president Kathleen Kennedy confirms a Lando Calrissian movie.

"Solo" comes to theaters May 25, but it's now the worst-reviewed "Star Wars" movie since 2002's "Attack of the Clones".

Additionally, io9 heard from Lucasfilm as well, and the company's rep told them that Kennedy said it's something she'd like to do in the future.

As told and re-told by French cinema publication Premiere, Kennedy acknowledged the reality that a Lando movie would be an enjoyable endeavor. It looks like a Lando movie is not coming any time soon.

Without getting into spoiler territory, Solo does a solid job of introducing Lando Calrissian but does not focus on him or over-explain his mystique. "It would also be fun to tell the story of Han and Chewie". There's a fluidity to Donald and Billy Dee Williams' [portrayal of Lando's] sexuality.

As for Lando Calrissian, the point of his character being pansexual is displaying that he's a real wild card and does whatever the hell he pleases.

While that's not up there with the likes of Rogue One and the last two main saga entries, it's still better than many expected following the high-profile exits of directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller.

The next "Star Wars" film is slated to be 2019′s "Episode IX".
