U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams was on a flight to Jackson, Mississippi when he helped another passenger who was having a medical emergency. He said the person is now doing well.
The Delta cabin crew called out for help the passed out passenger and Adams, who was standing outside the flight along with two nurses, answered to the help call and stepped in to help the passenger.
"The truth is, there are doctors, nurses and techs who step up each and every day to respond to emergencies on flights, and they ALL should be recognized and thanked", Adams wrote. "Why yes - yes there was".
"Thanks for your service and assistance", Delta told Adams in a tweet. Fellow Twitter users also flooded his tweet with positive comments, saying he was in the right place at the right time.
