Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 6.1 get dual LTE/VoLte support
Nokia 7 Plus smartphone launched back in February but was crucially missing 4G VoLTE support on its second SIM card. Earlier this month, HMD Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas promised that the second SIM will support LTE and the company has now kept its promise as it has rolled out an OTA update that brings VoLTE support to the second SIM slot. Today, the company is delivering on that promise.
The update with the version number V2.22A brings other changes such as user interface enhancements, improved system stability and the May 2018 security patch. As promised the Nokia 7 Plus in India has received a new updated which brings VoLte fix and much more to the smartphone. With a software update, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is also tipped to receive this feature in the future. But, we expect that an upcoming update will bring Face Unlock for the phone. Based on an image from Fonearena, the update is 441MB in size, so we recommend doing it on a Wi-Fi network. However, this does not mean that the device will have a full-screen design with an 18:9 aspect ratio display as it features the conventional 16:9 aspect ratio display with prominent bezels on the top and bottom of the phone.
To recall the specifications of the Nokia & Plus, the smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 660 SoC under the hood coupled with 6GB RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage space. It is fueled by a massive 3,800 mAh battery that also supports fast charging. The phone also runs on Android 8.1 Oreo.
Talking about the camera specifications, the Nokia 7 Plus comes with a dual rear camera module of 12-megapixel primary and a 13-megapixel secondary sensor.
