Curry, Durant make deadly duo for Warriors
Going away from the suit-and-shorts outfits he wore for Game 1 and Game 2 of the NBA Finals, James arrived at Quicken Loans Arena on Wednesday sporting a tan jacket with a purple and teal zip-up hoodie underneath, camouflage trousers and purple basketball shoes. With Philly's lineup, James is not pressured to always be the focal point on offense.
LeBron James expects his Cleveland Cavaliers team-mates to step up their game when the National Basketball Association (NBA) Finals move to the Quicken Loans Arena today (Singapore time), a boost his team will need to avoid falling into a 3-0 hole in the best-of-seven series. Cleveland got within four on the next possession after Durant's dagger, but never any closer.
Game 4 is Friday (9 p.m. ET, ABC).
"That was incredible what he did out there tonight", Warriors head coach Steve Kerr told reporters. "Some of those shots, I don't think anybody in the world but him could have made those shots". Wednesday saw him score a triple double with the 11 assists and 10 rebounds complimenting his 33 points on the night.
Nothing's going in Cleveland's way, so far, in the 2018 NBA Finals.
"I mean, you guys ask me what is the difference between the Warriors - you guys asked me this last year, what was the difference between the Warriors the previous year and this year, and what was my answer?" "You can't make mistakes".
It came on a night when no other Warriors player got it going offensively.
The Cavs began the second quarter with an 21-9 run, James scoring eight points and Love netting the final eight for Cleveland to produce their biggest lead at 50-37.
Only Durant kept the game from being a first-half blowout.
Durant also hit a go-ahead three-pointer in the finals a year ago against Cleveland with 45 seconds remaining. The Warriors beat the Cavs 110-102 to take a 3-0 series lead.
Golden State had no intentions of messing around in game two.
Cleveland opened the game with a 16-4 run but the Warriors closed the first quarter with a 16-7 spurt to pull within 29-28 entering the second quarter. Curry and Klay Thompson were a combined 7-for-27 from the floor, with JaVale McGee and Draymond Green finishing with 10 points apiece.
"We've been doing pretty good in the third quarter", Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue said.
"It's a different game, different season", Durant said. But third quarters have kind of been our Achilles heel all year.
Calling Game 3 of the 2018 NBA Finals important for the ClevelandCavaliers would be an understatement.
Kevin Durant refused to label his match-winning game-three performance for the Golden State Warriors as his career's "defining moment", as he plans to create more.
LeBron James said after the game the reason that he wanted to come to Philadelphia was to play with Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. Curry, on the other hand, had two points at this stage. Larry Nance made one of two free throws to tie it, followed by Shaun Livingston's made jumper to go up two, which Hood followed with another bucket to re-tie the game. Stephen Curry led all scorers with 33 points.

Former champion Novak Djokovic sprinted past Spain's Fernando Verdasco 6-3 6-4 6-2 to reach his 12th Roland Garros quarter-final. Zverev was coming off a trio of wins that went five sets and, while still just 21, could not will his body to another comeback.
