Donald Trump Tweets Ensure That Melania’s Return To Public Eye Is Super Awkward

Melania Trump

The president said today that Melania is still recovering from the kidney procedure she had weeks ago.

Doctors not involved in Mrs. Trump's care but familiar with the procedure said embolization most likely was used to remove a type of noncancerous kidney tumor called an angiomylipoma. "And she's doing great".

"The first lady is great", the former Celebrity Apprentice host, 71, told reporters on the South Lawn of the White House before boarding Marine One.

The president previously has provided details to the public about his wife's medical procedure that turned out to be incorrect.

"The procedure was successful and there were no complications", the statement read. Can't fly for one month the doctors say.

Her style remained unchanged.

Mrs Trump's absence, beginning soon after she announced her initiative to teach kindness to children, sparked all sorts of theories about where she was and what might have happened to her, including that she had moved back to the family's penthouse at Trump Tower in NY. "Rest assured, I'm here at the @WhiteHouse w my family, feeling great, & working hard on behalf of children & the American people!"

Following the surgery, Melania's absence at events where the public has come to expect her alongside the president was well documented, leading her to take to Twitter to castigate reporters. The first lady is expected to make her first public appearance since her surgery at a briefing Wednesday afternoon at the Federal Emergency Management Agency headquarters. On Monday night, the first lady made her first White House appearance when she attended a private event to honor Gold Star families. "Right there", pointing up to the White House from the driveway.

Melania Trump has appeared in front of the cameras for the first time in 26 days, as she attended a meeting at the Federal Emergency Management Agency in Washington, dedicated to the beginning of the hurricane season, along with her husband.
