This will mark Pacino's first collaboration with Tarantino.

Veteran actor Al Pacino has joined the star-studded cast of Quentin Tarantino's "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood".

The movie, which was originally being billed as film about the Manson murders, is shaping up to be a Pulp Fiction-style narrative that takes place in Los Angeles during the summer of 1969 and at the height of hippy Hollywood, with the murders serving as part of the background to the main narrative. Living legend Al Pacino has just signed on to the auteur's latest celluloid story, which already sports one hell of a cast that includes Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Dakota Fanning, and Emile Hirsch.

The star-studded cast already includes some massive Hollywood names, such as Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie, but now Oscar victor Pacino has ensured even greater pulling power. Who else can't wait to see him and DiCaprio tear it up alongside co-star Brad Pitt?

Hirsch as Jay Sebring, Clifton Collins as Ernesto The Mexican Vaquero, Keith Jefferson as Land Pirate Keith and Nicholas Hammond as director Sam Wanamaker.

Tarantino's ninth full-length feature as director is being put together by Sony and comes after a period of intense scrutiny for the filmmaker.

Just last month, Margot Robbie confirmed that she was playing the role of actor Sharon Tate, the starlet who was one of the victims in the Charles Manson murders, in the film.

The film will be released worldwide on August 9, 2019 - the 50th anniversary of the day that the Manson family committed the LaBianca murders and the day after Tate was killed.
