The allegation against the star comes in the wake of the #MeToo movement that has focused attention on sexual harassment in Hollywood and beyond. At the time, Stallone's attorney said he "categorically disputes the claim".

The allegations first came to light in December a year ago, relating to an alleged assault which is said to have taken place in the 1990s.

The second alleged incident of sexual assault involving Stallone was said to have happened in 1986 at a Las Vegas hotel. The alleged victim filed a police report in May.
