Woman confronts Scott Pruitt at a restaurant, urges him to resign

Kristin Mink confronts EPA Head Scott Pruitt while dining at Teasim in Washington D.C. on Monday

EPA chief Scott Pruitt flees Washington eatery after woman cradling toddler confronts him says he's 'harming' children

Indeed, Mary Dagen McDowell, an FBN anchor and frequent guest on Sean Hannity's show on Fox News, said, "I watched the video and the woman carrying the child was more measured". The request to help his wife, Marlyn Pruitt, a former school nurse, find a job at the organization came during summer 2017, the people with knowledge of the interview said. Dravis said she declined to make that call to avoid any potential conflicts of interest or possible violations of the Hatch Act, which limits federal officials' political activities.

In the never-ending stream of ethical scandals clouding EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt's tenure, more bombshells hit Monday and Tuesday as reports surfaced of Pruitt's secret calendar, his jockeying to get his wife a cushy job and his manipulation of staffers to save himself money. The arrangement ended earlier this year, the group told The Post.

Pruitt's conduct in office has made him the subject of at least 12 separate investigations by the Government Accountability Office, the White House Office of Management and Budget, the US Office of Special Counsel, two House committees and the EPA inspector general. "Trump has complained loudly and publicly about the recusal for the last 14 months, and floated replacing Sessions with Pruitt as recently as April".

"Administrator Pruitt always welcomes input from Americans", Lincoln Ferguson, an EPA Spokesman, told ABC News in a statement.

Even before Pruitt took the helm of the EPA, however, some of his own associates had tried to head off potential ethics issues, according to four individuals familiar with the matter.

A manager at Teasim, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said she was surprised by Pruitt's lunch choice.

Trump has gone as far as to say he wishes he did not appoint Sessions attorney general.

Kevin Chmielewski, Pruitt's former deputy chief of staff for operations, told CNN that Pruitt would regularly convene staffers to go through his schedule with a fine-toothed comb to remove any unscrupulous-looking events.

The same report on Monday also included details related to Pruitt's controversial travel expenses, this time alleging Pruitt routinely failed to reimburse young assistants after telling them to put hotel reservations on their personal credit cards. The incident concluded with Jackson leaving $600 in cash in Hupp's desk drawer.

Law&Crime reached out to the EPA for comment.
